    Some friends and I are going to skate New York this weekend, never been there before, any spots we should skate more then others?

    ....it depends upon where you'll be when in New York.   Apparently there's something going on near 12th and Ave A.   Midtown is "marble world".  Downtown you've got the chinatown skatepark, and the banks.    There are mad spots in Brooklyn, too.
