   i got there right after. Cops even left and no one even wanted to go back in and skate cause of what happend. It really did happen i jsut didnt see it with my own 3 eyes

   heres the story….Owens comes into love through the bushes everyone takes off, me along with a bunch of others run towards the 11 set in the back, another cop pops out from around the corner so everyone starts to scatter, next thing I know the cop pulls out his gun (or tazer gun) points it towards us and says get the fuck on the ground, so me my friend zack and some kid from NJ are the only people to get caught….cops take down are information and of course Owens is a complete dick like he always is….he pulls out a wrench takes off the nuts from our trucks, and goes now you wont be skating anymore today….at least we didnt get tickets, and replacing bolts is no problem…but pulling a gun on skateboarders WHAT THE FUCK…this is getting out of hand, people are even getting chased out of the clothespin, center city is becoming a complete bust

    i retweeted this during @refreshphilly the other night and when i woke up in the morning the philly PD police advisory committee replyed to my tweet to make a formal complaint: http://twitter.com/PoliceAdvisory/status/1686184171 the press are not going to care unless a formal complaint is issued especially without photos or video of the incident. the TLA thing got press due to the video going banoodles on twitter and youtube.

    As the skateboarding community we NEED to address these issues before something horrible happens. I hate to break it to you, but innocent people get shot, beaten, and unlawfully convicted everyday by Police officers like Officer Owen. We can all stand around today and say “there is nothing we can do” or we can wait until one of our friends end up “accidentally” shot and killed, and we are left saying “we should have done something” The second a firearm is drawn it’s a whole new ballgame kids.     dear dfiant…. if that is ur real name. center city has been a complete bust yes.. but in the past year it has only been a regular bust.. or somthin. Someone fixed the city hall benches and it lasted all winter untill they knocked out the stuff.. There have been weekends where no one cop would come to love.. whole weekends i swear its happend twice. Sometimes cops came 2-5 times but still hrs of skating went down between. NOW.. they got that cop car there either from 9-4 or 4-10. so sometimes u can skate after 4 or before 4. anyway.. its harder to skate now. Owens hates skaters. He might not even ticket u, soon he might jsut beat the shit out of you.who knows. idk where im goin with this.. dont give up skating downtown like in 2003ish. address the press and fuck the rest in pce lil fat tuesday. Shout out to my nigga Kenny.

    in the summer i was waiting for the bus to go home and i witnessed the craziest thing ever owens and another cop cut this kid off into the parkway with on coming traffic. he was cruisin around on a longboard and nearly got his head smashed by a car literaly 1 foot away from his head! these cops had him down and were yelling and cursing to his face! he didnt even get any tickets! these cops are nuts, they are robo cops, determined to get kids for skating anything anywhere!a gun is a gun, if a cop pulls any type of gun on you can u really tell its a fake or real gun! a gun is a gun! i feel bad for ben! fuck em all!

    all it takes to solve this is organization, media help and knowing the right people(which we do, one of us knows rendell’s new appointee for the fairmount park head commissioner, they run love!) so the key question is how do we all meet up and have a meeting of the minds, shop owners you could all be helpful with this part. maybe? i’m really not sure exactly. filmers and photogs search them archives and find these incidents, we don’t need to spend a weekend filming it, cause we already have the evidence and the first hand tales to tell. the problem is that no one knows. we need to hit the media hard with this one. BUT in the right way, not sounding like a bunch of scrubs that just want the park back 24/7.

    i would have no problem if i couldn’t go there till after 3pm or something. i would be fine if a ranger was in there while we skate to make sure people weren’t tagging , drinking or smokin weed in there. i live close, i’ll smoke that shit at home and get hype before going down there. the point is that they’ve heard everything we said before about this for the past many fuckin years and i didn’t work, so maybe its time to try a new more civilized way to get this place back, im open to suggestions. don’t just make some smart ass comments after this shit, that shit better be constructive and mean something! holler if you really want to try and change the shit going on down there, because those of us that are there on the daily are already getting together to work on this .

    Just a reminder Ki is right. None of this is new, ask Stevie, Ricky, Vern, and so on. The cops have been weird in Philly forever. The only thing that is new is that your all skating LOVE again. If you make a huge deal you might bring bad attention to LOVE for skating, just like Mayor Street did. Sure, they may slap the hand of the officer that flashed his tazer, but then they might put a full time cop back at LOVE. Just sayin’…

    First off I think rob getting interviewed on this helps us a bunch http://www.34st.com/ No sarcasm there either, upenn is very important in Philadelphia Im actually making a list of heads that I skate there with (that are standing citizens, tax paying, college attending / graduated, job & career having, little kid mentoring while we happen to be shredding there, NO CRIME COMMITTING while we happen to be shredding there dudes. And I think we should all just man up and bang out a typed page or two, three, etc. about something that’s happen to us there recently, negatively by the cops. (I think we all got that covered)

    And how usually most of the people who are there (non skateboarders) think skating there is cool, shit people from all over the world for the most part are usually like “hey you guys are getting kicked out? “ as were running into the parkway! And we should get that shit together, quickly mind you and contact all our media outlets, a simple list needs to get made of who knows who in what media (ie; newspapers, TV stations, mags, actual city offices!, etc). And we should get it to them in a seriously organized form quickly! They can park a cop at love for the summer. But the article that came out recently about the parks commissioner, says that he is going to take some time (at least the summer/fall) and figure out what to ultimately do with love. That means their not going to straight demo that bitch! But the quicker and more organized the media knows about all the shady shit going on the better!

My homie Feldlt recently said to me jokingly while looking at an ariel photo of Love “whatchu think this place was meant for, us skating or a ufo landing” Well? WTF, the guy who designed the place (r.i.p. Bacon) was so psyched to see kids skating his park. Right?
