Well I just want to inform everyone out there who happens to skate indoor parks during the winter that XGames skatepark in Franklin Mills PA, is now closed. This couldn’t have came at a worser time. I worked there for about 6-8 months and have been skating there since the day the place opened it’s doors. Not only did the one in PA close but other ones in Texas, Florida and all the others are closed as well. THis is a true hardship for people that have to deal with harsh winters, or lack of skate spots. This is the perverbial “nail in the coffin” for indoor parks in this region. Sure, Borderline is in West Chester, but making that pilgramage is a pretty tough thing for kids who don’t have cars.
I know all you supposed “true street” skaters are saying to skate the streets and whatnot, but not everyone deals with cold weather all the same. I myself, can deal with some cold, but when you have snow on the ground, what are you suppoed to do??? We all know that falling when it’s cold out sucks. Your bones ache, and your motivation goes out the window.
THe upside of this, is tha the ramps are STILL THERE for the meantime. The Franklin Mills coorporation owns the ramps outright, and they built that section of the mall, just for the skatepark. THe lighting and the layout are for the skatepark, are only useful to them if they keep it that way. HOpefully someone will buy it.
December is on it’s way. All we can do is hope. Winter’s coming.

Title 10 was the best indoor park in this area that I’ve seen. That shit was fuckin heartbreaking right there….that whole two tier street course deal was the SHIT, and i’m not going to even mention the 3 1/2 mini quarter pipe. This news is J*U*N*K.

I wasn’t a big fan of Title 10 just the same, but you’re right. It was an option. YOu can make the best out of any situation if you choose too. Now what are we gonna do???
I miss 360, wasn’t here for the title 10 era, and personally could give 2 shits about xGaymes Park. Sorry Ki, that you are out of a job, but shit, were you tryin to make a career out of working at a dumb park/shop. Look at this as a way to be more creative this winter about skating. O, and Ki, get a real camera, that cell phone shit is WACK!
jersey has some indoor shit, that shields park looks good, dispite the stupid fucking ads, the TF for those in the know, I have an idea, lets all contribute, and get a small indoor space we can utilize, DL like, whos with me on this one, Im cool with just a sweet mini ramp to ride in the winter, lets be versitile people, i vote we have a mini ramp winter, its time for all of us to learn everything to fakie. Title 10 was so great when the owner wasn’t there. Jay would just let us in the place. No pay, no pads. The TF is a great place in the winter, but for fuck’s sake, it has a worse trash problem than FDR! I’m sure I’ll be back there this winter. Don’t most of the people who post on this site skate there anyway?
