Low and behold : Natas Kaupas “History of Street Skating” from the an old ON video. I am sure some of you have already seen this but can you realy get enough enough of five foot deep frontside wallrides on street in a line?…32 minutes of greatness here buckers.
Oh yeah one more thing about the history of skateboarding.. is it me or do all those old Santa Cruz vids have some of the best filming in the game?
Here is a link – haveboard
Good filming indeed Crusty! That was a nice trip back to my youth…Thanks.
does anyone else find it annoying that people always talk about him spinning on a friggin fire hydrant more than talk about how he kinda invented everything! the dude started ollies, handrails, wallrides, etc. all with a style that is basically textbook awesomeness. plus one time i saw him at the bean on south street!
I love how that fenceplant is filmed. Dude plants his foot right at the camera. S-s-s-ick.
I met Natas on the Cadillac tour.I offered him a cookie and he said”Nah man,it’ll gum up the works. He refers to his body as the works. His clothing got the dirtiest out of everybody.Every time I try to talk to girls I keep thinking of World War3…
yeah stien.. with you all the way. You don’t get wallies and slappie revert hurricanes without a little ballerina on fire hydrants. Some people think that was a realy lame move but overall that dude was walking down the street thinking!…getting motivated and not sweating the next dude. sure time and place are of the essence but if you think about it how much are we all the same?..trying the same things? sweating over the same shit?
