when someone dies on this next year, will the mega ramp be in x games 16? or will it be an even bigger more money making event? i think this should be the last big air event since its way to dangerous. just do normal skating. street and vert. it doesnt need to be some huge show, its just skateboarding…

i had read about ray right before i posted this but didnt want to mention it as a sidebar to anything. ray was a awesome skater and even better dude. truly sad. crusty you are out of your mind if you think a switch drop in to the hugest switch backside 180 ever is stagnant or contrived. nothing before has been even close to that gnarly! just because it wasnt performed on a cellar door doesnt make it “not skateboarding” i agree its a spectacle but its an amazing one that really pushes the boundaries of what is possible on a board with 4 wheels. creative, gnarly and amazing are better adjectives for this.
That was gnarly….but no matter what, someone is always gonna bitch about how something ISN’T skateboarding….As long as you’re rolling on 4 wheels with wood on top…you’re skateboarding…period. Enjoy it for what it is.
