never again shall there be such a skewed ration between wheel size and pants size.
Sweet!
That park looks awesome. Steep ramps galore!
The bowl was sick. These contests brought so many good skaters to the area.
I was at this contest. I used to skate Bricktown park all the time around in those days. Word up, im siked on this. The bowl was sick Eric, had that PVC coping and my old friend Jeff Berleth used to fucking rule that thing and the 6″ spine ramp too. Im stoked to see Brick park on HaveBoard.
that was awesome! good post
Wow, fun post! I never skated brick, wish I had. It’s so funny how much everyone’s style blends together, not totally but a lot.
Fer sure Nuge, the big pants small wheels could not hide Mike V’s japan or Rick’s passion though. Menscer killed this place as did this ‘lil pipsqueak dude who’s name I can’t remember. On ‘lil dudes this clothing style looked especially funny.
Also, a very young JR Cronheim used to skate this place really well too. He was one of the lil pipsqueak dudes that raged the bowl and the pressure flips too. Cant forget Pete Milenkho either. Ricky was on point at Brick too, i think i remember Ricky doing a blunt to fakie on a quarterpipe on a little banana board. Not sure if the banana board had Z Rollers though. Would be sick if it did.
I spent many hours in that park.
Sessions with Derek Rinaldi, Morgan Tunney, Jeff Turko, Jim Menscer, Jim Reese, Dan Mecuro, Bean.
On the vert ramp, I saw Danny Way do a padless alleyoop mctwist over two people sitting on the deck hanging their legs over the coping (rollerblader style minus the rollerblades). The kicker- he was wasted.
The Impact Zone was rad.
