  1. Damn, that fuckin sucks. Shit, is that a spot that the locals look foward to ride everyday? I can not believe how the government can justify why they just decided, hmm lets put these here because they will look pretty. Fuckin lil shits. Where’s my Uzi?

  2. nah, i heard there makin it better. Im not 100% sure but i have friend some stuff on official and some kdis are sayin there not destroying it

  3. I was really bummed to hear the news of the spot’s demise. After excitedly making a pilgrimage there in September(from Wisconsin) I can hardly believe how quickly things have changed for the worse. I got to thinking how there had been good-faith efforts to clean up the spot by local skaters this past year and how it may have actually been one of the things that brought out some of it’s forgotten potential to the powers that be… The treatment of skaters/local youth by local government throughout this country is appalling and Brooklyn Banks is a very current and real example of it. Why then, have so many people come forward with unreliable information, defending the city/park district or trying to assure us that the change is temporary or will result in something better? Let the city do their own job of mis-informing, denying, dismissing and ignoring the voices of skateboarders. It’s up to us to question, argue, demand, represent, and defend our spots and our culture as best we can to combat them. Strength in numbers and unity of voice may be our only hopes in taking back some of the power…

  4. im glad the brooklyn banks are getting destroyed.sk8rs are queers and every1 nos that rollerbladers would win in a fight against skateboarders anyday
