A message from SF Masher

Hello All:

My friend Rudy Bazorda, author of Manifesto — Truth About Skateboarding and myself, Travis Jensen, author of Left-Handed Stories, have joined forces and are collaborating on an anthology book about skateboarding entitled, No ComplySkateboarding Speaks on Authority.

Due to conflicts of interest with police, property owners, security guards and everyday civilians, skateboarders inevitably develop a unique perception of authority. We want to know:

How have your experiences with authority figures in the streets influenced your attitude towards so-called democratic society?

Where does mainstream society fail hardest with skateboarders and other outcasts?

What do you think accounts for general municipality reluctance to accommodate skateboarding?

What are the effects of irresponsible authorities on young people?

You get the idea…

We are currently accepting submissions for this book, which is scheduled to be released in January 06 by Fun Not Fame Productions. The deadline for submissions is October 10th. Please click the link below for more information on this project as well as for submission guidelines.

  1. OH know, stop the presses!!! I don’t think you should have posted this. YOu might cause people to have to think for once. With subjects like this, it makes it hard for them to post the simple, “Well I had your mom last night” comments that you usually get. Watch out!!

  2. hmmmmm….fancy that…I guess your right. I just call things as I see them. Good or bad. Shit ain’t always cookies and milk, and I ain’t Santa Claus…

  3. SF Masher, I remember your stuff up on WIskate holy shit, memory lane. Your stories were always great and this is an awesome idea.

  4. you may think it is great that you don’t get arrested in europe or south america for street skating. but you wouldn’t be happy if you DID get arrested there for any minor infraction. i can assure you that you’d much rather be in the U.S.ofmutherfucking.A. in that case.
