Check out Felipe Gustavo’s second run in the Finals of Tampa AM. The quality is “meh” on that one, but whatevs. Check the rest of the videos while you are there.
I have never been to Tampa AM, but I’m just not as impressed as I use to be at the winners finals. He skates really slow. That bugs me. Don’t get me wrong, kid hads a flawless run, along with some bangers, but it just didn’t do it for me.
Tim O’Connor, in my opinion, would be one of the best reasons to actually be there. Check the Quotes Page for Gems such as:
“Once his testicles decent he’s giong to need bigger size pants.”
– Tim O’Connor on the mic during Donovan Piscopo’s run.

I’m sure there were plenty of others that didn’t make the site, cause that dude is hilarious!
has anyone come out of tampa am and then go on to accomplish anything is skating? i remember when kerry won and then won the pro contest right after or something crazy but it always seems like some random ass park dudes.
Learn to turn.Sad to see this is whats picked as best.no ramp tricks just turning around to hit rails.Cool rail trix though.Skates the park like a park. Are there streets where he’s from?
As noted in the Slap Forums, you can hear Tim always mentioning th enaming of teh rail/double set as the “NikeSB rail/double-set”.
the most recent comment says “pole jam would be nice”.
How do I go about sponsoring next years Tampa AM by branding a pole?
OH, Jammer to AIRWALK on the “Haveboard Dot Com Pole Jam!”
That would be so awesome!
I second the idea for a haveboard pole jam.
Felipe Gustavo just faceplanted into the haveboard dot com pole jam because he failed to realize that speed is required to skate this obstacle.
booooooooring.
we all know a kickflip back smith is sick. nobody in their right mind is gonna argue that. but this is exactly the reason why the dudes who win this competition never go on to do anything else. nobody gives a flying fuck about your technically perfect skateboarding. they want to see a little creativity. maybe even a little fun. (for examples, please refer to the previous blog entry regarding the traffic team and/or their latest video)
That style was (‘yawn) very skate park and slow. That Nike SB box reminds me of when Vern Laird went down a few years ago with a pile of lazer copy PX stickers and jammed them all over the park, only to get yelled at and have them all taken down by start of the contest. You have to pay to put up stickers. From the looks of that footage someone paid to make sure no one else put up stickers.
i like this kid

sean malto. he killed shit in that dc tour video and hes got a good style for a young buck. with the girl fam in his corner this dude isnt gonna let the tampa am contest ruin his rep. guaranteed hell be going on to regulate on a lot of pros.
Stein…good call. That David Gonzales kid KILLED! He would have had the speed to hit the haveboard.com pole jam for sure!
specs on the proposed “HaveBoard Dot Com” pole jam:
4″ diameter metal pipe, 3′ long, and about 75 to 80 degrees.
S.P.O.T., are you listening? How can I make this happen?
