FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SOLANA BEACH, CA02.20.08The Skateboard Mag is proud to announce the launch of its retooled web site theskateboardmag.com, featuring more video content, more photos, more original editorial, and of course, more skateboarding.

Along with technical contributions from lifelong skaters and web specialists John Lytle and Ivo Janssen, plus the rest of The Mags respected list of contributors and staffers, the newest chunk of content will be created with the help of longtime contributor Shad Lambert. Lambert has worked within the skateboard industry for more than a decade with media skills ranging from photography to video production and web development, and will be consulting on site design, original content creation, and marketing coordination.

Its amazing to be able to be part of The Skateboard Mag, says Lambert. Not only because the staff is so highly respected within the industry but by all true skateboarders around the world. Shad also added, Every cinematographer and skateboarder weve hit up about working on projects has been down the second they hear its for The Skateboard Magthe response has been awesome. Plus I think working with the legendary photographers who have pioneered and directly influenced skateboarding is a sign of the opportunities theskateboardmag.com has. Lambert goes on to say, From a creative point of view, the fact that The Skateboard Mag is fully skater-owned and -operated means were going to be able to create what skateboarders want. Were really psyched to get it rolling.

The Skateboard Mags editorial director Dave Swift notes, Since our humble beginnings in 2004, theskateboardmag.com has played an important role in The Mags success, and now weve invested resources that will make the site even better. Brand Manager Michael Mihaly also adds, Were really looking forward to expanding our web site not only the content but utilizing the latest technological advances as well. Whether it be the addition of video, cleaner user interface, or even the most current industry news, our goal is to be the one-stop site for skaters worldwide.

  1. If you watch the “rollin w/ NUGE” vid you can spot Ben Woosley lurking the Pho spot, and the Deej is all up in that piece as well. Nuge is a cool duder. I like the re-design. Shad on board too. Power moves. I like.

  2. Cognitive load! Ahhhhhhhh. More white space please, not to mention some line height, margins, and a font size that’s bigger than the equivalent of 11px with fucking Helvetica. Other than that it’s eh. Points for the Pete Eldridge Ten Tricks post though!
