Dam, who snagged up the size 9’s? I hope these guys get some cash soon…
Doesn’t this strike you as weird? I support the whole idea of raising money for Wilmington Skate Project, or any project in fact, but why a “Free Love Park” shoe? Shouldn’t it be a wilmington shoe or something to that effect almost like the dc plaza shoe? Love park is not being “freed” by the profits made on this shoe , and Philadelphia isn’t benefiting either.
I think I can help answer your question. Ben Jones was working real close with the Skateboard Advocacy Network in trying to help both Philadelphia and Wilmington get skateparks. His involvement, although from Wilmington helped Philadelphia greatly through the Free LOVE campaign we were running. To make a long story short, Emerica did this limited shoe and it never went past sample production. So they sent them to SAN and we held on to them, not sure exactly what to do since Philly was not going to budge on letting Love get legalized. Currently Wilmington is on a tight deadline to get their cash together. They have $350,000 of their total needed $800,000. Philly has a lot in store with fund raising and from what I know, not as strict of a deadline to get started on building. If someone knows something more, please chirp in.

Thanks 4 clearing that up. Had a rough day and could have added more detail to that post but didn’t.
