I’ve kept quiet about this for a long time, but that last comment was harsh. “Build your own shit.” I stacked a lot of those cinderblocks in the big bowl at FDR, as well as mixed a shit ton of the cement that holds it together. Transported and shoveled a bunch of that dirt under the quarter with the brick coping. I spent countless hours working on the 2004-2006 section. I smashed my guitar (admittedly not intentionally) at the Khyber so we could have money for the Art Museum park. Filled up a whole lot of bags with trash to keep FDR clean. How ’bout this one? Ruined any relationship I might have with Heyday to put on a benefit show for what was at the time SRSP, at the North Star. Driving from Phoenixville, all the way to Abington, just to show support at a town skatepark meeting in this era of insane gas prices. I’m also on board for a high-quality skatepark in Downingtown. I don’t build my own shit. I build shit for everybody!

  6. I like your attitude George and I’m sure while nobody says it everyone does in fact appreciate your efforts. So keep your head up and ignore douches like TZONE. Maybe someone will invite you to skate the warehouse, maybe they won’t. Hell I’ve been good friends with Haveboard for 10 years now and he’s still never asked me to come skate his little park. Which in all fairness is perfectly fine because it just looks like an indoor FDR. While I love a good mini ramp FDR has about as much appeal to me as a parking lot…maybe less.

  12. i dont blame TZONE or whoever is runnin that warehouse. you cant let everyone skate that shit. some people probably worked hard and spent hard cash to have that spot and dont want to risk havin it blown up or broken into by people.

  13. Ahhhh, I guess so. I don’t know, man. The politics of these things suck — or at least the need for the politics suck. I have this naive, child-like view of the world, and I’ll always see things that way. I like to share and help other people. I think that’s how everybody should be. Sometimes I get taken advantage because of those ideals. Nobody likes that. I guess that’s why I took it personally, even though I shouldn’t.

People are ridiculous in this city when it comes to spots and politics involving who has rights to what. It’s funny. But whatev’s…I’ve learned to live with the high school “in crowd” bullshit the minute I crossed the states lines…

  18. And if you are referring to the Autumn bowl, that place got way outta hand and came close to closing a few times already. So if you thought they were just being “relaxed” maybe you need to realize that may have been one of the dudes who caused a problem with that situation. Philly heads have talked a lot to people involved in that private bowl and we learned from their mistakes. Man up and ask your friends. You know I already told you to go with me when ever your ready.

People alot of times shit where the eat and it causes plenty of places to get shut down..I understand that…But when I hear people acting like their all high and mighty because they skate some exclusive shit…that makes them a dickhead…If you want to skate the bowl…find someone with and IN and ASK…When you get there, if you get to go, be respectful..Donate a little cash, respect the locs and, pick up your trash..Simple as that…

  22. I agree with both Ki and Phil here. Open your eyes and be creative — and pick up your trash! Keep your spots nice! Remember bride spot? Trash. FDR? Trash. TF? So much trash, it made the place smell like a fart. A friend took me up to a bridge spot in Brooklyn, (lots of natural hips. Gonzo was there, too) and the place was already collecting trash. Clean spots last longer!

  23. yeah ki got the idea. this possitive shits where it att. pick up shit at your local spot whether its your trash or not just do your best to keep your spot as best as it can be if people actually did this they wouldn’t have to have private bowls because they would trust people to care about thier spot oh well though if everbody does thier part maybe one day youll see the skate spots back to not all being busts

  24. yea most people are pretty cool with spots. i went out to san jose for a week. i skated san jose and i ran into some skaters that were cool as shit they told me where some of the spots were and hooked me up. san jose was the shit! its only a 45 minute train ride to get to san francisco too. san jose and sf have some good ass spots
