Ryan DeLaCruz sent me a link to a video part of Nick Trapasso which is pretty amazing. The dude use to ride for Bootleg (I think) and is now on Toy Machine. Ed knows how to pick ’em. Aside from the security montage in the beginning, Nick’s first trick is a BANGER! Pole Jam – Sex Change – Late BS 180, which I could also see being called a polejam big spin, but whatever. All semantics aside, this part is awesome.

That really stinks how this video made it onto YOUTUBE already. All the hard work these guys do to make such an awesome video and they may never get fully compensated because kids just aren’t buying videos like they used too. Why would they…ten minutes after the video comes out, it’s on every video hosting site known to man. I’m not gonna lie, I’m pretty guilty myself. We live in a downloadable era. But damn….when did this video hit the streets? Pretty soon, companies may stop even paying filmers altogether. Sometimes technology can be a gift and a curse all the same.
I wouldn’t give two shits about a new video coming out anymore, but because of this youtube video, I’m much more likely to back this kid, and want to check out the new toy machine video. Is this part from John Berry’s video “Atmosphere”? The youtube page doesn’t actually saw what video it is from, so obviously it wasn’t uploaded for the FIRST factor of getting a new video online. Plus, if you are making skate videos nowadays, you’re a dime a dozen.

Nevermind the fact that Time Warner is paying those videographers….It’s ok..they have a big money tree in there corporate backyard. Bottom line is that these guys, skaters and video guys alike, work hard to produce a high quality vid to the masses, and get raped outright.
