  1. “People who skateboard at night must be equipped with lamps on the front and reflectors on the rear.” junk.

  2. This is the new Roman Empire. Full control of the people. This sucks, so called legalizing of skateboarding is going to kill skateboarding. If this keeps up, you will be required to wear full pads and helmet while skating down the street. Lets keep these city councils and suit and tie liars and cheats out of our lifestyle. Lights and reflectors on my skateboard? come on. Keep skateboarding a crime, keep it dirty, keep it outlaw. Because if we dont, we will all just systematically fall in line and bow down to fools who want to profit off of our fun and lifestyle. How fucking insulting is that? Fire upon Rome. plain and simple. City councils should stay the fuck out and skaters should stay away from those fool. This has always been an outlaw movement and thats true.

  3. to finish what i was saying up top. Are we all so fucking soft nowadays that we want to mix up with the same fools who try to keep us down? What ever happened to revolution? What about standing up and taking what you want? FUCK RED TAPE. Now, we all know that other cities will for sure follow Breckenridge’s lead and start to slowly allow street skateboarding, but you know its going to be with alot of fucking rules. This is why we need to keep skateboard for real skateboarders ONLY. I really disagree with the amount of kids who are into this shit now. I find that insulting also. We used to be a certain breed, but now skateboarders are just jocks and products of the mall, and now products of legislation. If you know what the term Babylon means, this is the oppitamy. and i dont know how to spell. anyone care to hate on that?

  4. i love this. skateboarding rules more than ever, you don’t have to pay attention to the bullshit, there has always been petty shit tied to everything, that’s life. nothing else matters besides what makes you happy, friends & goodtimes, solo missions on the lurker curb no wax needed. it applies to everything, that’s the awesome thing about skateboarding and that mindset is one of a pure skateboarder, being hassled in middle school being a nerd, fuck it..

  5. being chased and hassled is one of the best aspects, i’m an old man but i’ll hop that fence like a 12 year old and run through the woods, skateboarding wouldn’t be the same w/o it.

  6. Yo that dude who wrote the article about how it SHOULDN’T be allowed is a complete douchebag. He said collisions between skaters and cars may cause serious injuries to DRIVERS. Moron. Maybe I read it wrong and I’m a moron, but I’m pretty sure thats what he said. Either way, fuck that dude.

  7. another reason to avoid colorado. Conservative ahole idiots like you against the youth. Perhaps they should be skiing instead since this is yuppie ville. skate and destroy this is what I wrote on their site

  8. Dr$, your anarchist rant really is going no where. Working with people in politics helps secure land for things like play grounds, dog parks, sidewalks, bike lanes and even skateparks. In all actuality if more younger people got involved and voted we could have gotten some crazies out off office a long time ago. But our apathetic attitude toward government just lets us do just what you fear, stay ignorant and controlled. I don’t claim to know government but I have played a little politics. As it turns out my effort toward shedding some light on Philly government on what skateboarding is really like has helped clear up some myths about skateboarding. Supporting big business brands getting involved in skateboarding (for their own gain) is way more dangerous then working with the city toward more legal places to skate.

  9. your attitude is horrible. sleeping with the enemy. i fight my enemies, i dont conspire with them. The government has always been the enemy of skateboarding and now that they see that its not going to go away they want to “help” by giving us park? Nugget, this is whats going to kill the ability to just even cruise the streets without regulations> I would rather have to run and keep it exciting then be told to go to the park.

  10. So you are going to fight the government? Fight Philadelplhia? Have you tried? Do you actually fight or just post that you may one day burn down the Capital Building like a Bad Brains album cover? Trust me, i’m down for a cause, but claiming to fight the government is nothing more then a claim. I don’t see the sense in burning down buildings because a city in Colorado legalized skateboarding. I really don’t get your point. In the mean time if you’ve got some plans post em’ on Haveboard and I will show up with my pen in hand ready to wright about how you caused a revolution.

  11. Actually, I did. It’s just the wrong word. Over it. Like I’m the only one on haveboard making typos. It’s crazy how people think any attempt to work with community, government or anyone who does not skate causes nothing but harm. Last I checked, skating is illegal pretty much everywhere. Running from the cops is really no big deal until you turn 18. At 33 I still want to skate, and I want to skate something other then a fenced in pad nanny lot. In the world of tomorrow skating down town may not be an option, unless we get involved in creating public space that allows for skateboarding. No helmets, no pad rules, no reflectors or flashing lights. C’mon if the Motorcycle community can legalize riding with out a helmet so can we. Oh wait, that would be work and everyone knows that a true “street skater” does not believe in work. Give me a break.

  12. I value street skateboarding tolerance over designated places. Spots are good too, but I think it’s fundamental to be allowed to ride your skateboard as a pedestrian.
