I started up @tweetskate in an effort to create a directory of Skateboarders who use Twitter. I’ve been using the “micro-blogging” service for over a year now, and only recently have I noticed more and more skaters getting involved on it. Not everyone is into it, so if it isn’t your thing, carry on. I’m not about to write a “What is twitter” post on here because there are already enough articles out there covering it. In short, it is whatever you want it to be. Don’t knock it until you try it.

A lot of skaters seem to be hating on twitter in general. Not surprised. Skateboarders love to hate on pretty much anything. I read somewhere that twitter is the new fixed gear. That cracks me up, considering how much I use twitter AND ride a fixed gear. Does that mean I’m not a skateboarder?
Now that I am a member of tweetskate, how do I post to it?
I’m working on a full site, but you won’t be able to “post to it”. it will be a directory that will aggregate twitter posts to it, with filters for different types of skateboarders. It will have a separate blog where I will write about things involving skateboarders and twitter.
