Darin C. Tesmer R.I.P.

Last night I found out that my old friend Darin Tesmer passed away. He was my friend Randy’s older brother, and would take us to spots and help us learn new tricks. This is the dude that taught me how to do ollie impossibles. I even traded him my favorite Wolverine T-Shirt and 10 bucks for a used skateboard once, when I broke mine. My brother put together a little video clip of some of his old footage, as well as some old haveboard videos featuring Darin:

Make sure to let your family and friends know how much they mean to you. I had not been in touch with Darin in years, nor have I heard from Randy in a while. I’m unable to attend the funeral, but I’ll be sure to think of Darin every time I do an ollie impossible. That’s for sure. I will miss you , Darin.

  1. That’s tough, meng. And it’s always hard to console somebody who’s just lost a friend or relative or pet, or anybody. Those videos are rad. I think that says plenty about your friend right there.

  2. I can’t believe this news. This comes to me as a total shock. Another friend of mine just referred me to this link. I grew up with Darin and he was always one of the nicest skaters around. He had a few tricks that nobody else could master the way he did and he was always a true friend. In South Buffalo, that’s very difficult to find. Darin and I hung out a lot with a large group of kids and we used to get into all kinds of situations. I’ll definitely remember the long hours we put in at the “mini-park” and Cargill-S. Little fact about Darin: He was an expert bowler and was on TV once on a bowling show called “Beat the champ”. He totally won money bowling. How awesome is that!!

  3. Brandon, Thanks for taking the time to put the web page together. I really enjoyed seeing some of those videos. What year was the first video’s from? Interesting enough, not only was Darin a good bowler and skater, he loved to hunt, fish, tatoo and golf. He pwned me in everything but golf. I don’t believe we ever met unless you came out to Oswego with him to the skate shop I started. I put a small 2 foot ramp in the basement of the shop. It wasn’t much, but something to skate on in the dead of winter. Thanks again! Brian Tesmer

  4. That was awesome what you did for Darin. It’s so sad to see good people go and he was definitely good people. His Smile……….. Damn. Thanks again and if you dig up anymore; please share.
