John Pildis is the nicest person you would have ever came across. A big smile, a positive attitude and tricks for days, Pildis was the dude to bring on the session. I remember the first time I ever hung out with him, he had a cast running half way up his leg. I was thinking he broke it doing something gnarly. Well, I was wrong. This dumb ass broke his foot trying to focus his buddie’s board!!! Unfortunately his skating was cut short to to a horrible accident, that involved skitching…I would do anything to bring him back to the session…There’s not too many people like him…and I doubt there ever will be. Everytime I step out on a board, there’s a little Pildis in there…

Skitching? Now there’s a painful memory. Once the speed wobbles start you no it’s going to end badly. Wish your boy were back with you too.

What do you mean by, “cut short due to… skitching?” I used to skate and hang out with this dude back in the day at Phil’s shop. I haven’t seen him in years. What happened?
Well George, the reason why you haven’t seen him was a couple years back, Pildis was holding onto the back of a car, got speed wobbles, and then ran over and dragged by a large truck. He was in really bad shape. When i saw him in the hospital, he was cut up from head to toe. I almost didn’t recognize him. He is permenantly wheel chair bound. I myself haven’t seen him in a long time either. Not too sure where he went. It’s a real shame.
People reading this, I know it’s the city life to hold onto cars and whatnot, but please be careful. Please. Skateboarding is dangerous enough.
